2. HOW TO SET THE BATTERY
\n<\/b>Be sure the “C” size battery is in the correct position with the position polarity in the upward position.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
3. HOW TO SET THE TIME
\n<\/b>Turn the hands setting disk (1) counter – clockwise to set the the time. The hands will move clockwise.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
4. HOW TO CONTROL THE VOLUME<\/b>\"Seiko
\nEvery time the chime – melody selector switch (3) is shifted, the corresponding chime will start to ring.\u00a0 You may adjust the chime volume by turning the volume control disk (4) toward max for louder or toward the “min” position for a softer level.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
5. HOW TO SELECT A CHIME MELODY<\/b>\"SeikoEvery time the chime selector switch is moved, the corresponding chime will start to ring.<\/b>
\nSelect the chime you wish to hear. The left position is Westminster and the right is Whittington. The chime will sync correctly and play the Westminster quarter hour chimes after the clock has been running 90 minutes.If your chime doesn’t count the correct hour:<\/b>
\n1) Take out the battery
\n2)\u00a0Set the time to\u00a05:50 AM<\/b><\/span>
\n3) Replace the battery in the cavity.
\n4) Set the time with the hands moving clockwise to the correct time.
\n5) The chime will sync correctly and play the quarter hour chimes after the clock has been running 90 minutes.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
6. HOW TO SET THE NIGHT TIME SILENCER<\/b>\"Seiko<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Night Time Silencer switch has 3 positions.
\nIf you wish for the chime to play 24 hours, keep it in the left position.
\nIf you wish for the chime to shutoff automatically every night at 11:00 PM and come back on at 5:45 AM, please proceed as follows:<\/p>\n

a) set your clock to the current correct time if you have not already done so.
\nb) if the current time is during the AM hours, slide switch (2) to the middle position marked “AM”
\nc) if the current time is during the PM hours, slide switch (2) to the right position marked “PM”<\/p>\n

The clock will now be silent by shutting off automatically every night at 11:00 PM and come back on at 5:45 AM. The shutoff period cannot be changed.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

7.\u00a0 HOW TO HANG THE PENDULUM<\/b>\"Seiko<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

a)<\/b>\u00a0Move the pendulum hanger to the right to release it.\u00a0 It will “pop” out of the shipping position.<\/p>\n

b)<\/b>\u00a0Attach the pendulum to the hanger as shown.<\/p>\n
